Meet Your Founders:

Branda Jean Piersall

and Michelle Bias

Meet Branda Jean and Michelle, the women behind OK, So Tulsa. What started as an idea to create the kind of storytelling night they wanted to attend has grown into a nonprofit, a community, and more than a decade of true stories told on Tulsa stages. They still host it together, still laugh a lot, and still believe the best stories usually start with, “OK, so…”

Branda Jean Piersall, RN

Branda Jean Piersall, RN, (she/her), Ketamine-Assisted Counselor, has been an RN for 29 years, primarily in hospice and palliative care. She is a death doula with certifications in holistic health, nutrition, and spiritual philosophy. She recently completed the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research program and is currently pursuing a Masters in Transpersonal Psychology with a focus in Applied Mentorship. She has also completed advanced training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy.

Her work is centered on supporting clients navigating death anxiety, complicated grief, and other profound life transitions such as divorce, illness/diagnosis, burnout, mid-life reassessment, empty nest, retirement, menopause, or any period of significant change. Branda views these pivotal transitions as opportunities for empowerment and transformation, helping clients harness them as catalysts for deep personal growth.

Through guided explorations combined with thorough prep and integration, she offers a safe and compassionate space for individuals to access expanded states of awareness, confront emotional barriers, and reframe their perspectives. These journeys can provide profound healing by promoting emotional processing, deepening self-understanding, and fostering a renewed sense of connection to oneself and the greater human experience.

Michelle Bias, MA

Michelle Bias, MA, is a story person. She works with what she calls The Story Beneath the Story — the beliefs we inherit and mistake for who we are. A Systemic Constellations Practitioner and Intergenerational Trauma Expert, she helps people trace the patterns they carry in love, family, money, and self-worth back to where they actually began — often generations before them .

Her global private practice takes in career challenges, change, trauma, grief, addiction, divorce, relationships, and family dynamics, drawing on a range of healing modalities in both individual sessions and workshops. She holds a master's degree in Transpersonal Psychology.

On stage, Michelle has spent thirteen years co-founding and running OK, So Tulsa's Storyslam, the nonprofit monthly open-mic storytelling event she co-hosts, and she coaches storytellers preparing for main stage and curated events — as well as professionals who want to use storytelling to move their careers forward. She also co-hosts OK, So Say More, a new podcast from Public Radio Tulsa. Her work extends to public speaking and writing: she is the author of the memoir String Theory, A Life, available on Amazon and locally at Magic City Books, and her second book, Ellipsis, is forthcoming in winter 2026.
